Hey guys, so I just saw Faber Drive live last night in Toronto at Nathan Philips Square. It was amazing. I love the band so much they're like my greatest modern inspiration and they're style is exactly what i'm going for.
The show started at 7 so we went there like half an hour early and got a nice spot near the front and by 7, the place was packed with people. It was freezing cold but as soon as the show started everyone forgot about the weather and just had a blast. They played for an hour and went through a lot of songs, especially some of my favorites like Second Chance and Tongue Tied. One awesome part was when they played a cover of the song "Fireflies" by Owl City. It was so fun cuz they made it heavy, something you could jump around too, and there was a part where Faber was doing a moonwalk.
But my favourite part was probably when they played a demo version of Tongue Tied called "It Ends". I've heard the song on youtube before and I loved but I never expected them to actually play it live, but they did. And I sang a long haha, I felt so special cuz not many people even knew that song, but i knew all the lyrics haha. There was a part where 2 drunk spanish guys came in adn started touchign ppl and giving them beer lol which was weird. but the show was fantastic. I was so amazed at how they did all the backup vocals just like in the recordings which not many bands do.
After the show, we waited in line to get autographs and stuff. But it was freezing cold and we were in the back of the line so it sucked. By the time we got there my toes were freezing and we were all shivering. And then i realized I had nothing to sign. I had no cash either so i coudln't buy a poster or cd or anything i was so pissed. i was like damn, so i just went with my friends who got a cd signed and i just told the guys they were awesome and talked to the drummer. It was weird cuz i was so nervous lol i totally forgot what i wanted to ask the guys i must've looked so stupid but whatever.
Anyways guys, Im' still writing and gonna record some tracks tomorrow with my guitarist Saadi, and then we'll upload them for you guys so hang tight.
